HAC symposium on rural veterans receives widespread coverage
On Wednesday, April 9, 2014 The Home Depot Foundation and the Housing Assistance Council hosted Serving Veterans in Rural America – A Symposium. The symposium was held on capitol hill in Washington, DC, and was designed to increase awareness of the needs of veterans in rural communities. At this event, HAC also released its report From Service to Shelter: Housing Veterans in Rural America, which details social, economic and housing conditions for veterans in rural communities.
